Honourable Dr. Devinder Singh Rana  is a highly skilled nephrologist and Chairman of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi. Known for his expertise in renal transplant procedures, he has dedicated his career to improving healthcare for people in need.Born in Dasmal, Hamirpur in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, Dr. Rana earned his medical degree from the Indira Gandhi Medical College in Shimla. He completed his advanced training in clinical nephrology at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh.

Dr. Rana’s contributions to medicine have been recognized both nationally and internationally. He is an international scholar of the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. In addition to his work at the hospital, Dr. Rana founded the Parvati Education and Health Society, in his native village of Dasmal, providing essential medical care to rural communities in need.

For his exceptional contributions to the field of medicine, Dr. Rana was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honour by the Government of India, in 2009. He is the first resident of Himachal Pradesh to receive this prestigious award.
